The Azov Battalion is Playing Both Sides with Israel and Hamas.

This is a rather odd story. As I am sure you all know, Israel is currently at war with Hamas and has been bombing Gaza since they were attacked by Hamas on October 7th. What we didn’t know is Hamas fighters trained with Azov Battalion fighters (credit to The Intel Drop for the info). The article contains chat logs discovered by Youssef Awwad of Azov fighter named Nazar and a Hamas fighter called Ahmed. The two discussed the use of chemical weapons on Israel and battle strategies. Ahmed went so far as to thank Zelensky and Azov for giving them weapons and training lessons.

This might surprise some people as Azov visited Israel in 2022. Azov officer Ilya Samoilenko attended and remarked on the regiments neo-Nazi image saying "The battalion has changed. It has purged itself of its dark past. The only radicalism we embrace today is our radical will to defend Ukraine." This statement was comical even then with the deluge of photos of Azov fighters posing with swastikas and black suns. But now it has to explain why Azov was corresponding with Hamas one year after claiming to be friends of Israel.

Israel even went as far as to provide weapons to the Azov Battalion. The image below shows a member of the Azov Batallion with the Tazor rifles produced in Israel and used by the IDF. This raises the question of if the weapons given to Hamas by Azov were also Israeli produced?

There are a few possible explanations. The first is that Azov/Hamas chat logs are fake and Azov is serious about its support of Israel. Not likely, but it is an explanation. The second explanation is that Azov was always lying to Israel to hide its own radical nature. This one is much more likely. The final possible one, and the most troubling, is the possibility that Hamas is a puppet of Israel and the U.S. and so in a bizarre way Azov can simultaneously be loyal to both and it is not contradictory. I don’t know if this is the case, but it has been theorized. If true, this could explain reports of Netanyahu issuing a stand-down order on October 7th which would ensure civilian casualties.

Some think the Israel-Palestine war is connected to the Heavenly Jerusalem agenda. Heavenly Jerusalem is a plan by the Ukrainian Igor Berkut to relocate Israelis to Ukraine. This is based on the idea that it was their ancestral home from when it was Khazaria. The ADL claims the idea that the Askenazi Jewish people were once Khazarians is an antisemitic conspiracy theory while Haaretz seems to see it as a point of pride. I personally take no stance other than to try to remain open to all possibilities.
