The True Bonfire of Narratives.
Richard Cooke wrote an opinion piece called "Bonfire of the Narratives" about how the Trump campaign had destroyed the narratives about how Democracy should work. The article is bad, but it does have a fantastic title. Sure enough, mainstream media narratives have been combusting at an absurd rate recently. The Russians appear to be prepared to take Bakhmut after the media spun Russia’s defeat as inevitable if the U.S. continued to arm Ukraine. After old Twitter sought tirelessly to deplatform anyone who said that Covid-19 came from Wuhan lab it has now become the accepted explanation. Most likely, the reason for this Covid-19 limited hangout is to try to kneecap China’s efforts to negotiate a peace talk with Ukraine by admitting to what was already obvious for years. But that appears set to fail as messages from British politician Matt Hancock show him talking about wanting to deliberately release of a new Covid-19 variant to scare the populace into compliance with lockdowns and mandates. Collectively people appear to have wised up to the fact that it was not China acting alone that caused all this.
Jacob Chansley, nicknamed the Qanon Shaman, who was arrested for storming the Capitol on January 6th has had evidence that might have exonerated him if released sooner shown on Tucker Carlson’s show. The footage showed Capitol police escort and guide Chansley through the building which begs the question of how he could have even broken any laws without the complicity of Capitol police who the Democrats deem Democracy saving heroes. There was never any reason for him to believe he was acting illegally since he was freely invited inside and led around. Unlike the other narratives destruction, the mainstream media is completely freaking out about this one as it shows the illegitimacy of their “war on domestic terrorism” and threatens to reopen the Pandora’s box question of if Joe Biden actually did win the presidency through election fraud.
But the craziest part is that the narrative BBQ is probably still ongoing. The death rate continues to rise as myocarditis and other conditions soar and yet the media does all it can to ignore this. The collapse of the vaccinated Damar Hamlin on the football field already caused a surge in concern over vaccine injuries and deaths. How much longer can the media continue to deny the obvious? Potentially the most damaging narrative to fall in the future is about Hunter Biden as his former business partner Eric Schwerin has agreed to cooperate in a Congressional probe of Hunter’s dealings. What will happen here? I don’t know but I would have marshmallows on hand.
